1. Data Collection

FRCCast ("the Platform") collects the following information when you create an account and use the service:

  • Account information: Email address, display name, and profile photo (via Google Sign-In)
  • Activity data: Market trades, points earned, credits balance, leaderboard positions, and pool memberships
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and session information for security and rate limiting purposes

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Platform. No payment or financial information is collected as the Platform is completely free.

2. Use of Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain Platform features including markets, leaderboards, and pools
  • Verify age eligibility (13+ requirement)
  • Send notifications about market results and Platform updates
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and enforce rate limiting
  • Improve the Platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics

3. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with the following third-party services:

Google / Firebase

We use Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In) for account management and Firebase/Firestore for data storage. Your Google account information (email, display name, profile photo) is received during sign-in. Visit Google's Privacy Policy for details.

The Blue Alliance (TBA)

Match schedules, scores, team information, and event data are sourced from The Blue Alliance API. No user data is shared with TBA. Visit thebluealliance.com/privacy for details.

Vercel

The Platform is hosted on Vercel. Standard web server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) are collected by Vercel as part of normal hosting operations. Visit Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.

4. COPPA Compliance

The Platform complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.

We verify age during the registration process. Users who indicate they are under 13 are immediately blocked from creating an account. No data is collected or retained from users who fail age verification.

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account on the Platform, please contact us immediately so we can delete the account and associated data.

5. GDPR and CCPA Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have additional rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (see Data Deletion below)
  • Right to portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes
  • Right to opt out (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. No opt-out is necessary.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Account Deletion page in Settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (email, display name, avatar)
  • All trading history and associated points
  • Credits balance and market positions
  • Leaderboard entries
  • Pool memberships and associated data
  • Session data

Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked to your identity may be retained for analytics purposes.
